The Fairphone company prides itself on its allegedly sustainably produced technology. Part of that is its commitment to fight obsolescence driven e-waste by very long software support periods for its products.

Criteria

If they publicly commit to 2026 updates, or release updates in 2026 for either 3 or 3+ this will resolve YES.

If they publicly announce the discontinuation of security updates for the phones, or 2026 passes with no updates, this will resolve NO.

I commit to resolve based on the description (and not the title or comments I made).

If there is ambiguity, I'll defer to someone impartial with no stake in the resolution.
